The Police Benevolent Foundation Establishes Memorial Fund to Aid the Beneficiaries of the Two Fallen West Memphis Police Officers

(May 21, 2010) -- The Police Benevolent Foundation, Inc. and the Arkansas Division of the Southern States PBA are in mourning today as two of their own, Officer Brandon Paudert and Officer Bill Evans, were shot and killed yesterday after making a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in West Memphis.  These two heroes have paid the ultimate sacrifice, and it is with a heavy heart that the PBF and ARPBA ask for the help of the community, both locally and nationally, to aid in their efforts to provide much needed support for these officers’ beneficiaries in their time of need.

The Police Benevolent Foundation has set up a memorial fund at SunTrust Bank and Wachovia Bank so that the public can assist in the efforts to provide support to the beneficiaries of both fallen officers.  Citizens can make donations directly to these accounts.  These accounts are joint funds, and all money collected will be divided equally.  We ask that you give whatever you can in support of our fallen brothers.  All donations made to this memorial fund are tax-deductible, and 100% of the money will go to the fallen officers’ beneficiaries.

The Police Benevolent Foundation and the Arkansas PBA have teamed up with Action News 5 and will be holding a collection drive at numerous locations in the area.  The drop off locations, date and times will be announced shortly after the funeral arrangements have been finalized.
